BIO FOR PHIL CARSON

Phil Carson is a Denver, Colorado-based journalist, editor, author and project manager with four decades’ experience. He has served as a content developer, executive editor, managing editor, and reporter in daily, weekly, monthly and long-term formats for online platforms and print publications. 

Carson earned a master’s degree in science writing/editing and feature writing at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 1991. He earned his undergraduate degree in environmental sciences from the University of Denver in 1984.  

Carson has authored or co-authored five books, including:

·       Fort Garland Museum: A Capsule History and Guide (Denver: Colorado Historical Society, 2005)
